The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) has notified Johnson Controls, a vendor in delivering products, services and solutions that increase energy efficiency in buildings, that the U.S. Army Engineering and Support Center of Huntsville, Alabama has awarded an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract to Johnson Controls Building Automation Systems, (JCBAS).
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) has notified Johnson Controls, a vendor in delivering products, services and solutions that increase energy efficiency in buildings, that the U.S. Army Engineering and Support Center of Huntsville, Alabama has awarded an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract to Johnson Controls Building Automation Systems, (JCBAS).
Under this IDIQ Electronic Security Systems V contract, Johnson Controls JCBAS will compete with five other awardees on the projects totaling US$650 million. The scope of projects will include the procurement and installation of systems and equipment at U.S. Department of Defense installations worldwide, including heating, ventilation and air conditioning equipment, building controls, physical security systems and products, fire alarm and life safety systems, antiterrorism measures and force protection. The contract scope will also include chemical, biological and radiological detection, supervisory control and data acquisition, metering and mass notification systems.
