Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, a national security solutions provider, announced that its Public Safety & Security Division has been awarded a contract from a national digital infrastructure company to provide a range of physical security and surveillance products, solutions and services. Under the contract, Kratos will design, engineer and deploy a surveillance and security system including access control with biometrics, smart cards, extensive interior and exterior IP-based surveillance, alarm monitoring, photo ID and biometric enrollment and a fiber-optic system. The effort is part of a large, critical infrastructure facility construction project that requires comprehensive security and surveillance services. The project is expected to be completed by the end of second quarter, 2011. The value of this critical infrastructure security contract is approximately US$1.2 million and was awarded to Kratos’ Mid-Atlantic office.
