Destron Fearing Signs Contract Extension for Pet Identification
Digital Angel, a technology company in the field of animal identification and emergency identification solutions, announced its Destron Fearing unit has signed a contract extension with Intervet/Schering-Plough Animal Health, to provide syringe and RFID microchip systems and readers. While the terms of the contract were not disclosed, the extended agreement runs through Dec. 31, 2011.

Intervet/Schering-Plough Animal Health markets Destron Fearing's companion pet products under the HomeAgain brand.

Joseph Grillo, CEO of Digital Angel, said: “Intervet/Schering-Plough Animal Health has been a strong partner of Destron Fearing since 1994. We are pleased to announce an extension to our agreement. Digital Angel has provided Intervet/Schering-Plough Animal Health with products for its HomeAgain pet recovery system, which has recovered over 600,000 lost pets during that time. We look forward to continuing this great partnership.”
