Reflecting the new corporate restructuring after its recent purchase of Atmel’s secure microcontroller solutions business, INSIDE Secure, a provider of semiconductor solutions for secure transactions and digital identity, announced several promotions designed to strengthen the management team for the next phase of the company’s growth. With these changes, INSIDE has solidified the integration of Atmel’s SMS business by creating a new microcontroller solutions business unit, and has enabled the company to strengthen its position in its current markets and accelerate its presence in fast-growing areas.

Charles Walton has been promoted to COO for INSIDE after serving as Executive VP of Payments for several years. Christian Fleutelot, formerly MD of Atmel's SMS business, is now GM of INSIDE's Microcontroller Solutions business unit. Andy Bear, who joined INSIDE as part of the Atmel SMS business acquisition, has been promoted to GM of INSIDE's new East Kilbride, UK operations. Bertrand Moussel has been promoted to Executive VP of Worldwide Sales. Additionally, Lim Heong was appointed to GM for the Asia-Pacific region.
