Secutech, Asia's Security Business Hub, Opens for Registration

Secutech, Asia’s important business hub for the security industry will take place from April 20 to 22, 2011 at the Nangang Taipei World Trade Center, Taiwan. Organized by Messe Frankfurt New Era Business Media, the 14th edition expects to attract 560 exhibitors and more than 25,550 professional buyers from around the world. The company organizes regional trade events, publishes 11 A&S series magazines and operates several websites.

The show will house a broad spectrum of security products and services from components, devices and software to total solutions in more than 35,800 square meters of exhibition space. In particular, the show will feature a comprehensive surveillance solution from lenses, cameras, video servers, NVRs and DVRs to software systems.

The 2010 Secutech set new record numbers for exhibitors and visitors, once again underlining its position as one of the world's most influential security trading platforms.

Exhibitor numbers for the 2010 show increased 9 percent to 553 exhibitors from 19 countries and regions and there were 22,690 visitors from 90 countries and regions, an increase of 2 percent. Of these visitors, more than 11 percent came from overseas and 78 percent had purchasing authority. Among the overseas visitors, 65 percent of them were distributors, wholesalers and dealers from Asian countries such as India, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and Japan.

The show continues to attract many security manufacturers, especially from China, Japan, Korea and Taiwan and more than 80 percent of exhibitors are key Asian manufacturers. To date, Korean and Chinese pavilions have been confirmed.

In addition to country and regional pavilions, Secutech will feature a number of product pavilions to help buyer's sourcing efficiency. These pavilions include analog and IP surveillance, access control, biometrics, RFID, building automation and home automation, alarm and homeland security. The largest product pavilion in Asia will be IP equipment that includes network cameras, display devices, video recorders, video analytic software and many more.

Secutech offers a series of industry events including the Global Digital Surveillance Forum (GDSF Asia), one of the most important events where security and IT leaders share the latest market trends and cutting-edge solutions.

The Composec Conference is designed for R&D engineers to explore various topics on security components and parts including image sensors, processors, RFID chips and biometric algorithms. It aims to provide security manufacturers with cost-effective product design solutions from world's components and parts providers.

According to Frost & Sullivan, the annual security market growth rate in Asia Pacific countries is 7.5 percent, reaching more than US$3 billion by 2015.

More than 85 percent of the world's security products are made in Asia. Ranging from video surveillance, access control to intrusion alarm, China, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Singapore and Malaysia are the major supplying countries and regions for the global security markets.

Taiwan is well known for IT development and innovation while it provides distinctive network video and is opening up to value-added products such as IP, 3-G, Ethernet transmission devices and RFID.

Also known for strong innovation and quality design is Korea. The Korean market delivers higher resolution, fast processing and better integration products owing to its continuous R&D effort. China is one of Asia's fastest growing security markets with cost-effective security solutions, R&D and high-tech security products.

In addition, Singapore and Malaysia have good reputation for design and IT. With strong government support, Singaporean and Malaysian manufacturers continue to further develop the access control market.
