asmag.com surveyed on 283 major companies worldwide (30% Systems integrators, 29% distributors/dealers, 17% manufacturers) to understand how these security companies have dealt with the impact so far and how they are transforming according to the new requirements from users.

KEY STATISTICS

77 Percent of the responents had their revenue decreased from Jan to June, 2020

36 Percent of the respondents had a 26% to 50% revenue decrease in the first 6 months of 2020

56 Percent of the respondents may continue with a remote working model by end of 2020

62 Percent of the respondents reduced or cut expenses / work-force in 2020 to substain their business

54 percent of the respondents said their customers are willing to adopt analytics or automation, compared to the past

54 Percent of the respondenets try to re-engineer / design COVID-19 products and services

Retail and Transportation were hurt the most in terms of revenue

Government and Banking & Finance still grew the most during the COVID-19

Our Survey

The COVID-19 and Security Industry Survey was conducted by asmag.com on Sept 2020. We surveyed on 283 security companies worldwide to get their feedback on their business and customers, in order to understand how the security industry was impacted by the COVID-19. Our respondents include professional systems integrators, distributors/dealers/importers, consultants, as well as installers. This result shows COVID-19 has made most of the companies experience a major revenue loss.
