His session, “PSIM: Information Management for Physical Security and Life Safety”, will be featured during the conference in May 26-29, 2016 Grand Hyatt, Goa, India.
Life safety and security are high priorities in India. The number of programs and the level of ambition for safety and security has increased dramatically over the last 12 months, which has included a raised interest in PSIM solutions. The market revenues of India Fire & Safety equipment market are expected to reach US$4.94 billion by the end of 2019 according to India Fire & Safety Equipment Market Forecast & Opportunities, 2019.
CNL Software’s presentation at FSAI PACC will explore how PSIM is enabling organizations across the globe get to grips with the diverse range of technology typically used in security and life safety, such as fire detection and alarms, CCTV, access control, lift management, mustering and mass notification systems. Where some of these have traditionally been reactive systems, there is a far more proactive role for them with the help of PSIM.
The session will discuss how PSIM provides comprehensive situational management, enabling and optimizing situation planning, realistic training programs and faster response to security incidents and life safety emergencies; enables step-by-step operator guidance to be pre-configured to ensure compliance to standards such as life safety and fire codes. Examples will be presented on how PSIM proactively coordinates emergency responses in the event of a fire from, evacuating staff and visitors to atomically managing mustering to notifying emergency services of the presence of hazardous materials. It will also cover the convergence of security and life safety systems and will look at how IoT is playing an increasing role in our safety environments.
