Nizhny Novgorod buses shuttling with Acumen !
Nizhny Novgorod is, with the population of 1,250,600, the fifth largest city in Russia. It is the economic and cultural center of the vast Volga-Vyatka economic region, and also the administrative center of Nizhny Novgorod Oblast and Volga Federal District. Nizhny Novgorod government is devoted to providing a decent standard of living and security of its habitants, keeping pace with the times by taking the latest technology concept, such as CCTV on buses.
The city administration has announced a tender to equip buses and bus stations with CCTV system. The bidder "Volga Systems" - official dealer of Acumen - has experimentally installed video surveillance systems on several buses, on one of which the color medium resolution bullet camera Ai-BU32 has been selected. With the surveillance system, the driver can monitor the roadway and the cause will be identifiable in case of accidents so as to enforce traffic security. All-weather day / night medium resolution camera Ai-WP32, installed beside the right rear-view mirror, monitors every single movement of passengers. Video surveillance inside buses is carried out by a color mini-dome camera Ai-DC30. The system core is served by the mobile Ai-DM48. Acumen video surveillance system on Nizhny Novgorod’s buses has successfully gone through this burning July during which it has reached 45°C. It is not surprising as Acumen’s all-weather cameras are able to bear up to +55°C and -55°C.
Thanks to successful efforts of Acumen’s dealer "Volga Systems", today residents of Nizhny Novgorod can use public transportation more safely and the city government has expected to equip 450 surveillance sets in the near future.
