Devon Bank out of Chicago, Illinois has implemented a wide spectrum of US Biometrics' multifactor authentication products in its brand new Wheeling branch. The project is expected to achieve a Gold LEED certification, and is the first bank branch in the state of Illinois to be LEED-registered.

Devon Bank has deployed the US Biometrics' logical and physical control system, including hardware, software and services, with the goal of increasing security and adding convenience to everyday tasks for its employees. Not only is it making employee access to entryways, networks and software easier and faster, but it has also increased customer identity security and securely addressed risk assessment procedures required by regulators.

"We have been following the biometrics market very closely over several years and the progress that US Biometrics has made by converging physical access control with logical desktop control led us to the decision to implement the US Biometrics suite of products,” said Dan Loundy, VP of US Biometrics.

"Devon Bank sets a great example of how a company can control costs when it investigates the benefits of keeping authentication of software, networks, and physical doorways under one authentication umbrella. We are very excited to have Devon Bank as a customer,” said David Delgrosso, President of US Biometrics.
