Launched in Madrid in 2017, Hoomvip offers a complete app-based service for the access management of rental properties, mainly aimed at Spain’s holiday rentals market.

Challenge

Hoomvip’s offering centers on enabling remote, keyless management and use of rental properties. To achieve this, the company needed an easy-to-fit smart door lock that could be managed through Hoomvip’s app.

Solution

Hoomvip chose the ENTR smart door lock from ASSA ABLOY brand TESA, because ENTR is “the best smart door lock on the market, thanks to the security level it provides and the functionality it offers,” says Miguel Encinas, CMO of Hoomvip.

With ENTR and Hoomvip, landlords no longer waste time on physical key management. They simply send their guest a ‘digital key’ remotely via the Hoomvip app or a text message. The guest can then go straight to the property and use the digital code to open the entrance door with the ENTR lock. With no need for a physical key handover at check-in or check-out, it’s easy for landlords of holiday rentals to offer 24-hour self-check-in – much more convenient for guests.

Visitors cannot lose keys and get locked out, and ENTR can be used with the Hoomvip app to enable landlords to easily manage the property – for example, providing limited or one-time access for cleaning or delivery services.

Installing ENTR at a property is quick and easy. It takes just one screw to fit an ENTR to an existing mechanical lock, with no drilling or cabling. Five minutes’ work transforms a regular holiday rental into a smart rental.
