The success of this supply contract is mainly linked to the advantages of Comelit’s ViP system, which allows the video entry phones in the Bayer head office in Viale Certosa to converse with those in the offices in Via Ludovico di Breme on the basis of IP protocols. “We needed to restructure the old video entry phone system in order to redirect calls coming into the switchboard at the headquarters in via di Breme, after closing hours, to the main office” explains Gian Mario Vabanesi, Head of the electric system maintenance, video entry phone system and anti-intruder alarm system at Bayer – “We examined a number of options but Comelit’s technological offer was the only one that satisfied our needs with excellent installation and activation times and without creating any disruption to the working environment”.
Massimo Pinelli, Technical Area Manager at Comelit Group who closely followed the start up stage of the plant, also confirmed this: “Thanks to the benefits of the internet Protocol and digital communication, the ViP System did not require any specific cabling as it was able to use the existing network”.
