The project was completed in February 2016. After only 17 months of construction, Mecklenburgische Versicherung inaugurated its new building in Hanover. Located just off the main office, a new, ultra-modern building was created, with plenty of art and design for the 170 employees and external tenants. But what is good and beautiful also needs to be well protected. That is how GEUTEBRUECK, an international provider for video security solutions, became involved. In the official call for bids, GEUTEBRUECK was able to offer the customer the perfect security solution and was awarded the contract to equip the new building with video equipment. The objective was to protect the interior and exterior of the building, thus protection against unwanted guests and vandalism.
The main entrance area of the building, which leads through the covered walkway, is equipped with Siedle access control and an integrated camera. As a result, visitors are displayed on the monitor for the reception employees before entering, allowing them to decide who has access to the building. Employees have access using an "electronic key", which is an electronic door chip that opens the door while documenting who enters and leaves the building and when.
However, these security measures alone were not sufficient for the decision makers at Mecklenburgische Versicherung. It was decided to secure the entire exterior and entrance area and the lobby with cameras.
The company Wahl & Co was commissioned with the planning and installation of the GEUTEBRUECK equipment. A total of 16 fixed GEUTEBRUECK dome cameras were installed for wall and ceiling mounting of the
G-CAM series. The aesthetically pleasing, Full HD 1080p IP camera is in use day and night and it features a removable IR-cut filter with additional infrared illumination. They deliver crisp images during the day as well as at night in the unlit building. A recorder operating with the high-performance G-Core software records the events around the clock. This makes it easy to immediately track down what happened, when and where, in and around the building.
