As a new development, CityHub faced the challenge of implementing a check-in process that could be automated to provide efficiency for both guests and staff. In partnering with Burgman Security to streamline the check-in process and by implementing ASSA ABLOY Hospitality RFID solutions, CityHub was able to leverage multiple product features that maximize guest convenience while reducing staff work loads.
Used in conjunction with CityHub’s self-check-in system, Signature RFID assists in streamlining guest services by allowing guests to quickly and effortlessly gain access to their capsule rooms, known as Hubs. As a contactless solution, Signature RFID provides properties with an array of key fob design options, presenting hoteliers with the opportunity to select one that is best suited to address guest needs and enhance operational services. At CityHub Amsterdam, guests are given the option of wearing an RFID wristband that not only functions as a hassle-free Hub access key, but can serve as a method of payment for drinks and snacks at the hotel’s self-service bar. With the inclusion of RFID card readers, guests wearing wristbands can also conveniently, yet securely access private guest lockers available at the property.
When equipped with Signature RFID, properties gain a powerful anti-cloning platform that uses unmatched encryption technology to provide virtual immunity against unauthorized access. Fully compatible with ASSA ABLOY Mobile Access, Signature RFID also serves as a cost-effective method for properties considering a later upgrade that allows guests to use their own smart device such as a phone or watch as a room key.
