Axis launches mobile surveillance apps for small systems

Quick and easy access to surveillance system from mobile devices is important for people on-the-go. Axis now introduces mobile apps for Apple iPhone and Android devices for use with AXIS Camera Companion and hosted video solutions.

Axis Communications, the world leader in network video, launches mobile surveillance apps for its AXIS Camera Companion and hosted video solutions.

“By completing our offering with our own in-house developed mobile apps we can assure optimal performance and full compatibility with our vast product portfolio”, says Regional Country Manager, Mr. Ivan Tjahjadi. “Providing easy remote access to high definition surveillance video gives our customers the tools they need to efficiently secure their operation wherever they are”.

The mobile surveillance apps allow the user to easily switch from live view to recorded videos from any location within their surveillance system. The integrated timeline notifies about triggered events and allows the user to take immediate action. Single images and video of interest can easily be stored to their mobile device and shared when needed.

To further strengthen our offering, Axis launches the mobile apps with the updated AXIS Camera Companion 2.2, with support for Axis Mobile Streaming. This technology is specially designed to give quick and easy access to live and recorded high definition videos even for installations where bandwidth is limited.

The apps are available for download free of charge and compatible with iOS and Android devices. The new app for AXIS Camera Companion is available to download from axis.com.
