While the casino sees huge money being handled during games every day, the video surveillance system becomes one of the core facilities in preventing illegal game or theft. This casino had been operating its video surveillance system with analog camera and DVR for a long time. However, there has been a continuous request of upgrading to full-HD video surveillance system. Representativesof the casino security department had chosen WEBGATE's HD-CCTV system, after making thorough comparison between "IP camera system based on network" and "HD-CCTV system based on HD-SDI transmission technology".
HD-CCTV system can make use of the existing coaxial cables of the analog system, and can transmit full-HD digital video without frame loss. One Cable Solution:
HD-CCTV's “One Cable Solution” was applied to casino's video surveillance system. One Cable Solution configuration means that by using the coaxial cable, DVR supplies power to camera and controls cameras' OSD menu and zoom/focus. Also, in this configuration, all channels have 30fps to provide full-frame recording. Casino security personnel are very satisfied with the new HD-CCTV system because they can have the most optimized system by operating the system in the same way with conventional ones. They said that they will continue to upgrade their rest analog system as well.
