Mission
The Tachira State Police is a police unit with state and regional jurisdiction, and operates in the state of Tachira, Venezuela. It is the main police force at the regional level, controlled by the government of the state of Tachira, and reports to the Secretariat for Safety and Security. With the aim of finding an efficient solution to ensure the safety of its residents, the Tachira State Police contacted Soluciones Linktel C.A. to provide a system that would optimize its surveillance and security operations.

Result
As a result of installing this system, there has been a dramatic decrease in crime. In addition, not only has there been a major improvement in security at the 14 banks located in the area, but the system has successfully reduced criminal activity at night and the police have been able to conduct several operations to recover stolen vehicles and prevent robberies and muggings.
Reduced crime
Addressing the security issues in the area required more than the Tachira State Police just being present, which is why the Tachira Secretariat for Safety and Security contacted Soluciones Linktel C.A. to propose and implement a plan that would not only make the area safer but also offer the community tangible results. To resolve these security issues, they decided to set up 31 Axis network cameras which they would use to monitor a radius of 16 square kilometers. The reputation of Axis, the brand's robustness and the fact that the equipment is easy to install, were all determining factors in the final decision to choose the cameras. This system demonstrated its real effectiveness right from day one. In fact, there were 25 police interventions during the first month of the trial period, which is evidence that crime in the area is on the decline. As a result of implementing this new technology, residents now feel much more comfortable whenever they have to travel to this area. Given the success already experienced with this installation, the government of the State of Tachira has already made medium-term plans to expand its video surveillance platform to include other areas.
