Lough Erne Golf Resort was where leaders from Britain, USA, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Russia and the E.U. met to discuss major global economic, political and security challenges, including energy and climate change, food security and nutrition, Afghanistan's economic transition and transitions taking place across the Middle East and North Africa, most notably the situation in Syria.

Fourteen of the lodges offer two bedrooms – 10 of which are a striking turret design – and 11 lodges offer three bedroom accommodation. “With an established track record of providing secure access control for several luxury hotels in Ireland and many others around the world, the Salto solution provides outstanding security for Lough Erne Golf Resort" comments Kieran Gorey of Ambar Systems, the local Salto certificated partner that carried out the installation.
"Working in consultation with Salto we have provided a highly secure and flexible access control system to meet all of the needs of the resort. Access is currently controlled to 85 bedroom doors in the main hotel and to 25 external lodges. The advanced system design incorporates proximity Mifare operation, anti-vandal protection and each lock can support up to 64,000 users. To have done this with fully on line doors as part of a fully hard wired solution would have been prohibitively expensive, but with the architect and client opting to use our stand alone locks which ensure the highest levels of security, they will achieve 90% of the benefits of a fully on line access control system for just the cost of a standalone solution” Gorey continues.
