Avigilon announced that its Avigilon Control Center Network Video Management Software (NVMS) with High-Definition Stream Management (HDSM) integrates with the Hirsch Identive Velocity physical and logical access management system for improved enterprise security. “Multiple factor authentication merged with image quality and ease of use of the Avigilon Control Center (ACC) software provides customers with the right balance for employees and information technology teams,” said John Guerrero, executive VP of sales at Hirsch Identive. “Automatic video recording, based on logical events and triggers, enable customers to immediately view and record incidents as they happen. Triggers include network resource access or denied log-ins at a computer terminal.”
The integration of Velocity into the Enterprise edition of ACC takes full advantage of HDSM technology and seamlessly unites the management functions of access control, smart card authentication and high-definition video surveillance. Companies can improve security and their return on investment, while balancing the needs of employees, IT and security departments by linking video and events with credential authentication. Through this integration, companies can improve response times to security events and provide enhanced protection for critical resources.
