Axis Security has secured a contract to supply around-the-clock protection for one of Europe’s premier data center campus locations. The data center campus is developed by Ark Continuity, a company that specializes in the design, build and operation of high integrity data centers.

Steve Kennedy, Services Manager for Ark Continuity, said that security is of paramount importance in the data storage industry. "When you provide white space in which to house clients' data servers, you're supplying three crucial commodities: energy, cooling and a secure space. Security is as important as any other element of the business because our clients rely on our developments to be both secure and fully operational 24/7."
Axis Security was awarded the contract to provide a manned guarding service for the developed Spring Park data center campus. The team will be comprised of eight officers, including a contract manager, and two cover officers. Axis Security will also manage the existing on-site security equipment, an integrated access control system and surveillance coverage of all areas of the campus.
"The team at Axis Security won the contract because their tender offered the best value and most comprehensive package, not only for us and our clients, but also for their staff," Kennedy said.
