Lensec Donates Surveillance System to Take Care of US Medical Center
Lensec, a provider of IP-based video surveillance solutions, is helping to ensure a safe environment for families whose loved ones are receiving treatment at St. Joseph Medical Center in Towson, Maryland. The Houston-based security solutions company donated a video surveillance system for the new Hackerman-Patz House, a two-story guesthouse for patients and families who travel from outside the St. Joseph primary service area. The house is having its celebratory ribbon cutting and opening on March 23.

“Our goal with the Hackerman-Patz House is to provide a safe and comfortable environment for patients and families,” said Robert Wojtek, Manager for Security and Preparedness at St. Joseph Medical Center. “We are very grateful for Lensec's contribution to our safety goals.”

Wojtek said many visitors to the guesthouse will arrive at night, so Lensec helped the security team configure the system to monitor all the doors in order to let people who are guests or who have official business or work at Hackerman-Patz into the building during all hours.

“We feel privileged to assist St. Joseph Medical Center in a worthy effort to provide comfort and security to families and patients going through a difficult time in their lives,” said David Crawford, CEO of Lensec. “Hospitals are a unique security environment with constant traffic, so it is important to have the ability to monitor from every angle.”

St. Joseph Medical Center has worked with Lensec since 2007, and has a Lensec system that provides security throughout the St. Joseph campus.
