CMC relocated its head office, presenting the opportunity to upgrade from an old analog-based system to the advanced surveillance system possible. “We were confident from the outset that the Avigilon surveillance could help us achieve regulatory compliance and improve our ability to secure our site,” said Andrew Roberts, Group Facilities Manager at CMC Markets. “I am very impressed with Avigilon's advanced functionality and am proud to show the system off because it clearly demonstrates how far surveillance has come.”
Facility managers manage the company's surveillance system using Avigilon control center with HD stream management, which was built from the ground up to manage HD surveillance video. Avigilon HD cameras were installed at all egress access points throughout the office and cover the lobby, main coffee area and seminar room, all clients areas, IT rooms and the 4,000-square-foot data center. CMC also installed a HD NVR to store up to 30 days of continuous surveillance video. The surveillance system operates 24/7 and is monitored by a small team of administrators and managers when incidents require investigation.
With the surveillance system, CMC has improved monitoring of onsite security and can better protect critical customer data, which is necessary to ensuring regulatory compliance. With an end-to-end approach to security, the HD surveillance system is highly secure, eliminating the possibility of data leaks and further enabling regulatory compliance. Using control center software, security personnel can shave hours off investigation times and dramatically improve overall investigative success.
