Embedded Encryption Component with PKI Key Management Software
- These components are tamper resistant FIPS 140-2 level 3 government certified. Non FIPS 140-2 level 3 miniature chip design also available for licensing or re-sale. (The Component is also currently under evaluation for Common Criteria EAL4+ ). Additional applications include automated centralized key management system, or inserting application code into the component to run in a secure environment.
Designed to provide original equipment manufactures (OEMs) with a simple, secure, drop-in solution for data encryption, digital signing, and strong authentication, the miniHSM allows customers to integrate pre-validated cryptographic security with key management into a diverse range of product areas including digital cinema projectors, electronic voting terminals, retail point-of-sale infrastructure, immigration border control, document processing machinery, ships, planes, satellites, and more.
nCipherˇs miniHSM supports a wide range of cryptographic algorithms, including all common symmetric- and asymmetric-key cryptographic algorithms (including 3DES, AES, RSA, DH etc.) as well as more specialist algorithms such as Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC) . Incorporating a true random number generator, the miniHSM offers secure cryptographic key provisioning and storage, and a built-in real-time clock enables value-added functionality such as time-stamping in addition to the standard cryptographic functions of encryption, digital signing and authentication.
