  • IRIS is an end-to-end solution comprising a wireless camera, middleware
    server software and mobile phone client software. IRIS cameras are stand-alone, consumer-priced cameras with built-in SIM cards and quadband GPRS modems. The cameras can be used in domestic security situations to monitor the user's home and help safeguard valuable property such as holiday homes, boats, cars, shops and offices.


    The cameras can be installed easily and there is no requirement for
    broadband connection, an internet account, router, PC or technical
    knowldege. All users need to do for setup is to plug the camera into a power
    socket and switches it on.


    The camera captures, compresses color video and transfers live video over the wireless mobile network to most colour Java mobile phones with native JPEG support. The camera supports 1 to 2 frames per second on standard GPRS networks.


    PIR motion detection for alarm activation is also supported in the camera. Camera images can be viewed on PCs/laptops, PocketPCs and smart phones.


    Video images are secured through authentication, encryption, date/time tagging and PIN to ensure privacy.
