- The Cable Gate is a thick stainless-steel cable that is securely locked between two steel posts positioned on either side of an entry. It provides an effective physical barrier against unauthorized vehicle access.
A motor housed inside the master post drives down a latch, releasing the cable (to lie flat on the ground). After a vehicle has passed, the cable is automatically drawn back up and locked again inside the post to resecure entry. The gate opens fully within 0.5 second, providing immediate access for authorized vehicles, before closing automatically within seven seconds.
It can be operated by a range of operating systems including radio remote key fob, proximity card, magnetic swipe card, electronic keypad, intercom ,or vehicle-detection road loop. The gate is appropriate for a wide range of applications including commercial offices, retail centers, hospitals, industrial properties, caravan parks, residential estates, unit complexes, townhouses, retirement villages and restricted-access laneways, public car parks, loading zones, mine sites, and rural properties.
It can secure entrances from four meters to eight meters wide and can be installed virtually anywhere as it does not require any opening space above or below ground, or alongside the gate. An 8mm-thick, stainless-steel cable is securely locked between 820mm high, zinc plated (marine grade rust-proofed), powder coated, steel posts to guard against forced entry or exit. A heavy-duty, 24 volt DC motor draws the stainless steel cable up and locks it securely over a stainless steel latch inside the post.
