- Based on Orbit''s proprietary OCR engine, the system effectively recognizes license plates in Taiwan, Japan, Italy, Arab countries and China. LPR cameras can be mounted beside highways, ramps or at gates of toll stations and entrances and exits of parking lots. The remote console monitors traffic conditions in real time, while license-plate numbers of all passing vehicles are recognized automatically. Complete image-management solutions are also provided, including user-friendly Web-based UI, database and backup system. Application examples include finding stolen vehicles and suspected vehicle tracking, traffic monitoring (video surveillance and travel time estimation), access control and parking management.
