IR camera is supported by infrared light emitting infrared rays on the object and reflecting to CCD camera to form an image. So when we install IR camera, we need to avoid black object, open area, water and other objects that absorb infrared rays. If infrared rays be absorbed or weakend, it will reduce the light irradiation effect of infrared light, thus affect the quality of moniter image.
IR cameras use high-end CCD lens. During installation, should avoid strong impact on IR cameras. Before installation, must confirm if the power supply voltage is the specified voltage, in case of being burned.The lens can't point to the light, like sunshine, lighting, etc. Or there will be over bright phenomenon and it will reduce the lifetime of CCD. The installation position of IR cameras should also avoid damp,dusty,extremely hot,cold,strong electromagnetic radiation places.
Following are the tips when installing IR Cameras:
First, need to decide where to install the cameras. Driveway, porch, entrance, parking, garage and backyard are the common places to install IR Cameras.
Second, consider to use a wireless IR Camera. If you plan to install the camera far away from your house, like a detached garage, remember that IR cameras also need power supply to work.
Third, the external device should be installed to protect the content and the location taken by the cameras.This will involve the mounting holes on the wall and bracket.
Finally, check the sight of camera during the day and night. Ensure that when someone come into sight, the cameras can capture any movement. If necessary, need to adjust the direction of cameras.
