2026 Security 50 Industry Report:
Slow Growth Continues
Amid Component Price Hikes

Security players are continuing to face various adversities, from trade barriers to component price hikes and general market uncertainty. Growth continued nonetheless, driven by various factors, such as advances in AI technology and deployment scenarios beyond the traditional realm of security, but also as some of them had to realign their pricing with higher costs for sourcing components, chiefly among them memory and storage. Our annual ranking, however, also shows that larger players seem to find it easier to succeed in the market, especially if they have a foot in the door in several growth regions. Overall the industry remains bullish, with respondents to our annual survey expecting continuing growth and faster lead times, and several technologies set to unfold their full potential in the coming years.
