Version 6.6 of our video management software Supervisor X is now available. It offers interesting novelties regarding its use and functionality. The main change is that to the compatibility with the Axis IP devices -encoders and cameras- compatibility is now also guaranteed for our network video recorders NVX and for the video decoder AX-TV. This makes out of the Supervisor X a suitable VMS for analog, IP and hybrid installations.

Supervisor X meets the main functions requested from professional management software:
Auto-detection of devices on the network
Creation of virtual groups with devices from a same or different locations
Visualization of the devices status
Information and operation on the digital inputs and outputs
Distribution of devices among the different users
Visualization of up to 40 video signals on screen
Digital Zoom on live and recorded video
PTZ control
Automatic checking of the status of the devices
Programmed patrols and scheduled tasks

Furthermore in this version we have worked on tools and functionalities to obtain more agility in the tasks of monitoring, daily work and maintaining tasks, providing users a greater centralized management of the devices.

Among the enhancements there are:

Management: The licensing system has been simplified to provide the user with the necessary immediacy to enlist new devices while also acquiring tools for the creation and organization and dynamic management of groups and favorites lists, these latter only accessible to the user who created them.

Live video: monitoring duties of the operator are now simpler with enhancements in the management of quads, the possibility to group and page and use of the double click to magnify a camera and return to quad view. PTZ control for IP cameras and recording of presets for PTZ and digital zoom, as well as access to recorded video from the monitoring screen and constant visibility of the alarm management panel have also been implemented.

Recorded video: Supervisor X allows now to search for recorded incidents collected by the I/O and VMD sensors so that the user can swiftly find and play video of any incident related to a specific event. Supervisor X also supports AX-POS and AX-SmartSearch applications and, therefore, allows for POS and VMD intelligent searches for cameras with these applications installed, saving time to the operator for specific events searching and allowing easy access to related video.


Maintenance Report: Although individually the X Supervisor provided information for each of the devices in the database it now includes a tool for creating a maintenance report that provides a summary of the status of all devices with detailed information of the failures found in each one. This report is configurable and can be exported and /or printed.
