HORN Sounds for Integration
With the wide adoption of network products, the interoperability and integration between products and multiple sub-systems remain a major challenge for security. How to efficiently integrate a company’s current product lines, therefore, has become an imperative task for many security suppliers.

Product Integration Leads to Customer Satisfaction
Foreseeing a rapid demand for integrated systems in the market, Shenzhen Longhorn Security Technology Co. Ltd., a subsidiary company of China Security and Surveillance Technology (CSST), a leader in manufacturing intruder alarm products, took a proactive approach at the end of 2012, deciding to integrate its intruder alarms with video surveillance and smart home product lines from other subsidiaries. In the meantime, Longhorn started to promote their new brand “Horn” of those integrated product lines. By doing so, it aims to provide buyers with well-rounded services and a full-fledged product lineup. “After the integration, HORN is able to offer customers a one-stop shop where they can buy all these three kinds of products in just one place. Before, each of the three product categories had its own sales team; now, they are all undertaken by one unified team, to provide more customer-centric and convenient services,” said HELEN PENG , VP of Shenzhen Longhorn Security Technology Co. Ltd.

Integration of these three product lines benefits HORN with more marketing opportunities and comprehensive product offerings. It also further ensures better services for customers. This year is a very significant year for HORN. After uniting different teams and product lines, we have started to optimize the performance of each team and product line in order to make the best use of available resources and create the greatest value,” said Helen Peng.

HORN’s ultimate goal is to realize open-architecture integration. “Through integration, we are able to create an open platform where our staff can achieve the best they can and cultivate their own capabilities in different fields and markets,” Helen continued. “In the first half of 2013, we arranged several product training sections to ensure all the team members have a good understanding of all these three products and their markets.”

Accurate Positioning and Strict Quality Control to Expand Market Share
As the security market gets more crowded, furious competition poses challenges as well as pressure for enterprises. “The competition will still be there as it is but the market capacity itself is big enough. As long as a company understands what customers really need, with clear positioning, the company can still find their own markets,” said Helen. HORN, positioning itself in the mid- to high-end market, has never stopped striving for perfection and product innovation. Its products have passed numerous international standards such as UL, 3C, CE, FCC, E-Mark, ROHS, etc. In 2011, it was honored with the “New Product Showcase” by ASIS International.

In 2013, HORN launched its two-way communication DIY packages and intruder alarm software, which features support for multiple mobile devices ( iOS, Android, Windows, etc). In surveillance, it also introduced upgraded DVRs, NVRs, and full HD 1,080p IP cameras. The company is also planning to sell its high-end TCP/IP villa- and apartment-use building intercom systems to overseas markets.

Supported by its strong technology capability, HORN has found its footing across different geographic regions. “This year, HORN has accomplished a new milestone by further expanding in South America and Southeast Europe.

Our significant growth in North America serves as solid proof of our ability to meet high standards. In the second half of 2013, we are hoping to witness another breakthrough in North European m a r k e t s w h e r e the standards for technology and certification are even greater.”

HORN continuously makes strenuous efforts toward product integration, mid- to long-term market development, and products and team optimization in order to realize the company’s ultimate goal – to provide customers better and simpler products that not only perform well, but are also reasonably priced.
