AG Neovo Displays Stand Guard at Taiwan’s Main Gateway
Source: AG Neovo
AG Neovo, a leading supplier of security and surveillance displays, is proud to have been given a role in keeping many public transport systems around the world operational and safe. A new highlight on this front is its displays being chosen to help with the inspection of both checked-in and carry-on baggage at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport, the most important gateway to its home country.

Currently comprising two terminals, Taoyuan International Airport handles some 2.6 million outbound and inbound passengers per month, or about 86,500 each day (based on government data for June 2013). Among other duties, the airport’s Aviation Security Monitoring Centre is called upon to make sure that no contraband find their way into either checked-in or carry-on baggage. To correctly determine what X-ray scanning has detected, its staff also need professional displays capable of presenting images in precise, accurate detail.

Capable of displaying 600 TV lines, AG Neovo’s RX-W42 and RX-22 are singled out for the purpose. Assigned to work alongside the airport’s X-ray scanners at checked-in baggage counters and to facilitate the remote surveillance at its control centre, both are crafted with AG Neovo’s Advanced Image Platform? (AIP) technology that faithfully reproduces contrast, colours and details in the surveillance output. Integrated therein are 3D Comb Filter, 3D Deinterlace and Noise Reduction technologies that further augment the quality of the image output.

Solid metal casing and NeoV? Optical Glass are only fitting to these sturdy displays, both of which are built with an extraordinary capability to dissipate heat. These features are crucial to bolstering their durability as they are supposed to stay on guard and stand up to the toughest requirements of round-the-clock operations.

On top of their compatibility with a complex web of existing systems at the airport, the RX-W42 and RX-22 are favoured also for their unique user-friendly features that accord flexible viewer options. Among others, image rotation and freezing as well as PIP/PBP facilitate surveillance efficiency significantly.

“There’s no understating the clarity and stability of display images for the professionals at the Aviation Security Monitoring Centre charged with baggage check day in and day out,” says Allan Hsu, Sales Manager of AG Neovo Taiwan. “With their consistently precise reproduction of X-ray scanning images, the RX-W42 and RX-22 make a reliable tool in making sure that nothing escapes either X-ray or the human eye.”
