The 6000 series reader ICs are LEGIC’s highlight to secure the world of high-end Internet of Things devices. Thanks to the certified secure element (SE), the new reader chip generation can be integrated into IoT applications with advanced security requirements. Another big advantage of the 6000 series is the “System-in- Package” structure of its hardware components.
Secure Internet of Things
With the secure element, the 6000 series reader chips provide a secured, tempered hardware component, where all key material is stored. This enables a wide range of innovative IoT solutions with high security requirements. Encoded communication channels for end-to-end security can be established without additional components, thanks to the integrated secure element.
System-in-Package
The revolutionary manufacturing method of a “System-in-Package” module on a printed circuit board structure makes it possible to react to technical innovations flexibly and without major expenses or costs. Thanks to this structure, up to 30 electronic components, such as capacitors, resistors, two frequency generators and a transistor, are also integrated along with the main function semiconductors, hence reducing the assembly expense and costs for customers significantly.
Multi-purpose system design
The 6000 series offers standard functions in the field of 13.56 MHz and complements them with a SE and BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy). Therefore, these reader ICs are the perfect choice for secure IoT solutions, hospitality and residential access, car sharing, mobility solutions, corporate ID, smart home and payment applications.
With the SE as security anchor, the LEGIC 6000 series fulfills the highest security requirements.

LEGIC offers the comprehensive platform for mobile solutions: the Trusted Service LEGIC Connect, its mobile Software Development Kit, secure reader and smartcard ICs as well as a state-of-the-art key management for BLE and HCE (Host Card Emulation).
