The Razor is a rugged handheld thermal infrared camera that provides clear
thermal video in seconds with no setup for an excellent tactical advantage.
Thermal imaging uses heat rather than light to see an object. This makes humans
animals and vehicles easy to spot even in shadows or light foliage as they are
warmer than their environment. Thermal sees through smoke, haze and fog and
is immune to bright lights unlike traditional intensified night-vision cameras.
The Razor uses an uncooled 60fps LWIR 385×285 VOx sensor and offers three lens
options (19mm, 25mm and 35mm) to suit your mission profile.
Not only does the Razor boast an impressive infrared sensor and germanium
optics, it was designed with low SWAP (size, weight and power) in mind. The
Razor is a true tactical hand-held thermal monocular with a total weight of about
1 pound (0.5kg), a total length less than 7.5 inches and a battery capacity of 5
hours. Despite being lightweight and compact the Razor is rugged and designed
for military. It is certified IP66 waterproof and drop-tested making it the ideal
solution for handheld tactical thermal.
The Razor has a variety of features that are activated and selected via
waterproof buttons on the top of the unit that control a color OSD menu,
allowing you to easily toggle through options while still viewing the thermal
image. Choose from several image polarity modes (black hot, white hot and red
hot), apply digital zoom (2x 3x 4x), adjust screen brightness and add cross hair
icons all while keeping your eyes on the target.
