Hiqview 3x zoom IP bullet camera
Source: hiQview Corporation
Hiqview has launched its latest outdoor IP bullet camera, HIQ-6587, with a 3x optical zoom lens built-in.

The Hiqview HIQ-6587 is a 5 megapixel outdoor weather-proof bullet-type IP camera. It is equipped with a 1/3.2" megapixel CMOS sensitisation component enabling it to perform with all-IP architecture. With a 3~9mm 3x optical zoom external vari-focal lens (at F1.2), the HIQ-6587 also includes an exclusive-patented design that supports a smart focus system for remote focus adjustment and easy installation.

As it is equipped WDR and DNR functions, the HIQ-6587 is engineered to effectively reproduce crystal clear images with high clarity under all lighting conditions, such as under strong back-light or low light circumstances. Images captured are compressed into 2 formats: H.264/ MJPEG for multiple resolution options in 5 megapixel / 3 megapixel / full HD / HD / VGA / QVGA / QCIF. At a resolution of 5 megapixel, the HIQ-6587 is capable of producing quality images of 2592x1944 at 15fps (max). It is possible for the user to select a suitable streaming format based on the different bandwidth resources available.

The design of the aluminum housing is compliant to IP66 standards against water and dust ingress in outdoor environments. The external vari-focal lens and 35 pcs IR-LEDs incorporated into the HIQ-6587 design not only help to ease installation, but also allow for clearer images in both day and night modes with its auto IR-cut filter mechanism and IR illumination up to 25 metres in distance.

The network configuration of the camera has been designed to be easy and hassle-free. The HIQ-6587 IP camera can be located, if connected to the internet, with the aid of the installation tool provided. An analogue video output is included, making it possible to connect the IP camera directly to an analogue monitor at the local site. The HIQ-6587 is also designed to support 802.3af Power over Ethernet (PoE) for ease of installation as no additional power lines are needed in this case. Consequently, the result is a total power line cost reduction in medium to large sized system deployments.

This 5 megapixel bullet-type IP camera has a rich set of surveillance function. The open platform, built-in web server provides remote users with real time video through an internet browser. In addition, a free-bundled NVR software is provided with the HIQ-6587 which offers the user the facility to create their own video surveillance and management system total solution.
