Traditional video transmission on Ethernet and PoE (Power over Ethernet) are limited to only 100 meters. However, with SHDSL technology, HD video signals as well as PoDSL (Power over DSL) can be transmitted between IP megapixel cameras and a DSLAM switch at a distance of 4,000 meters on a pair of 0.5mm cable.
