Theia Technologies aims to target all the major Asian economies and that is one of the reasons that have brought them to Secutech 2017.
Speaking to asmag.com, Andrea Iniguez, VP of Business Development for Theia Technologies, pointed out exhibiting at Taipei also brought them closer to the OEM manufacturers.
"We are showcasing this week, at Secutech, our 4K lens family. We have two beautiful lenses, one is for the 10 millimeters and the other is 12- 50 telephoto," Iniguez said. "They are both full 12-megapixel resolution and IR corrected for day night cameras. They are very compact, at only 64 millimeters to the total track length. They come in a variety of options, including motorized zoom, motorized focus, motorized IR cut filter and different mounts as well."
"We are coming here for two reasons, it is a great exposure for us, also because many of the ODM camera companies are here. It is an opportunity for us to meet with the ODM company companies as well as expose ourselves to the market."
Speaking of major markets of interest in the region, Iniguez said that as a global company, Theia is continuously looking to expand its network.
"Certainly, all the major economies, we are targeting. Korea, Japan, and all the other economies in Southeast Asia as well. We are a global company, we are always looking to expand our distribution network and we would like to participate more fully in the Asian market and that's why we are here."
The security industry is witnessing several changes at the moment, with concepts like IoT kicking in. As with all major companies, Theia too is keeping a close watch on the developments while trying to come up with solutions for it.
"So our company feels that IoT is very important," Iniguez said. "As a matter of fact, that's an area we are considering diversification into. That's become pervasive, throughout security and factory automation as well as home automation. In the future, all our devices are connected interconnected to the internet for better performance overall. So, we want to be part of that and that's why we are paying attention and hopefully plan to come out with some products soon."
