A-MTK features IP professional and consumer total solutions
A-MTK, a Taiwanese manufacturer of in-house brand Afidus, featured solutions for both the professional and consumer segment at Secutech 2017.

For professional security, the company is showing a complete H.265 product line, including a mini-dome that would be ideal for banks to secure their ATMs. The H.265 codec will offer better compression, allowing them to record more footage and retain videos for longer video retention periods, a necessity for most banking surveillance applications.

A-MTK is also relaunching its 32-channel H.265 NVR with hot swappable hard drives and RAID function for professional use, such as in factories. Damaged hard drives can easily be changed without the need for the NVRs to be first shut down, allowing uninterrupted continuous recording.

According to Pauline Yen, Director for the Sales and Marketing Department at A-MTK, their consumer IoT product line is targeted towards telecom and broadband businesses "We provide the Wi-Fi IP camera with in-house P2P software and in-house cloud storage. We offer a true total solution. We build OEM smart phone apps and can provide storage servers to the telecom and broadband providers so they easily offer smart home solutions to their subscribers."

It was a natural progression for A-MTK to incorporate the Internet of Things in its products, creating a total solution for its customers. "From the very beginning, we have been 100 percent focused on the IP -- IP camera and NVR," said Yen. "Everything is migrating to the cloud so we are developing our own cloud software, smart home apps. That's the benefit of using IP cameras."

Internet security is an important issue and A-MTK has taken steps to provide its customers with additional security, such as encryption and higher and lower level account management. Yen stated that the company regularly tests its products to ensure that there is no back doors to minimize the risks of security breaches or hacking attempts.
