Survey invitations were placed on our website, social media channels and sent to our reader database, supported by
media partners

a&s India and a&s Japan. We targeted physical security
channel players: those directly involved in the purchase, installation and day-to-day use of these technologies.
After a review of the responses, a total of 486 respondents were included in the analysis.
Using our annual Security 50 ranking as a starting point, we looked into the leading brands for each product
category, and determined which has been the most active in the previous year (e.g., new release, features, etc.).
Respondents were also asked to name brands they felt should have been in the survey.
