Taipei, Taiwan, December 12th, 2012 – ASUSTOR Inc., a leading innovator and provider of network storage solutions, has announced today the release of its exclusive surveillance solution, Surveillance Center that will come pre-installed with all ASUSTOR NAS devices. Surveillance Center’s Web-based interface gives users the power to manage an array of IP cameras while featuring recording via schedule, motion trigger or alarm trigger and a notification system that alerts users in the event of disruptions. Surveillance Center currently supports all the major well-known camera brands such as Axis, AVTECH, Brickcom, D-Link, LevelOne, Panasonic BB/BL and Vivotek.

Surveillance Center’s intuitive interface lets users view and record from up to four simultaneous live feeds, play back previously recorded material, take snapshots and control the pan, tilt and zoom functions of their cameras. Moreover, its convenient time axis feature allows users to easily find previously recorded material from specific time periods. In addition to its compatibility with leading web browsers such as Chrome, FireFox and Internet Explorer, Surveillance Center also features an easy to use quick start wizard to help new users get started.

“The security needs of homes and small businesses are increasing by the day,” said James Su, Product Manager at ASUSTOR. “Surveillance Center provides an easy to use and powerful surveillance solution, enabling users to dynamically monitor their most valued assets.”

ASUSTOR NAS is the world’s first NAS designed around the use of Apps. In addition to Surveillance Center, ASUSTOR NAS also features the supported use of iSCSI and NFS which allows users to seamlessly integrate the NAS with any existing IT environments. All ASUSTOR NAS devices are verified as VMware, Citrix and Hyper-V ready, providing users with a flexible and cost-efficient virtual storage solution. Furthermore, ASUSTOR’s exclusive App Central platform provides users with downloadable NAS Apps for project collaboration, database management, web analytics and more.
