The Wide-Exit is similar to the Plus System, except that it has unique electronics that allow it to protect 1.5-meter-wide aisles for total protection of three meters. The Wide-Exit system uses a variety of tag sizes. It can also be changed to a dual-aisle system without synchronization. A special version replaces older 3M and Knogo library systems and works optimally when set at 90 centimeters. The panel is 1,524 millimeters by 440 millimeters by 25.4 millimeters; each weighs 16 kilograms. Power supply is standard 100, 120, 220 VAC and less than 50 watts is required.
