The E-828 combines with a passive infrared sensor and a pinhole camera that has a relay output to activate an alarm, lamp, time lapse recorder or monitor.

It is ideal for covert monitoring applications, as the person being monitored cannot see it is a camera. The E-828 also features an on board microphone allowing audio to be monitored as well. As an option, one can have the unit fitted with a wireless transmitter. Important specifications include 3.7 mm with F 2.0 pinhole lens, angle of view at 51X, horizontal resolution of 380 TV lines, min. illumination of 1 lux, and PIR sensor range up to 110 degrees and 12 meter, S/N ratio of 48dB.
