ARSA Technology today announced the international launch of ARSA AI Box, an edge AI video analytics appliance that plugs into an organization's existing IP CCTV and turns passive camera footage into real-time alerts and operational data. All AI processing runs on the device at the customer's site, so video stays inside the customer's network unless they choose to route it out, and the system keeps working fully offline.
Most sites record every camera around the clock, but footage is usually reviewed only after an incident. Visitor counts, safety-compliance reports and traffic surveys are still often compiled by hand. Cloud video analytics, meanwhile, require video to leave the site, and building an in-house AI system demands servers and specialist staff that many operations, safety and facility teams don't have.
ARSA AI Box is designed to close that gap without replacing infrastructure. It connects to existing cameras over ONVIF or RTSP (2 MP and 15 fps minimum), so most current camera positions can be used as they are. Operators add camera streams, draw detection zones and rules in a visual editor, and receive live events in a local dashboard, or route them by webhook or email into their existing alerting systems.
Four analytics modules run on the same platform:
- Safety Guard: detects missing personal protective equipment (helmet, vest, boots) and entry into hazard zones, for factories and construction sites.
- Retail Counter: measures visitors, capture rate, dwell time, queues and conversion, for retail chains and shopping malls.
- Traffic Monitor: counts and classifies vehicles and tracks congestion, for road networks and car parks.
- DOOH Audience Meter: measures verified impressions, attention rate and engagement duration, for digital out-of-home screen networks.
"Almost every site we work with already has cameras everywhere, and almost nobody is watching them," said Hilmy Izzulhaq, founder of ARSA Technology. "We built ARSA AI Box so a safety manager or an operations director can get live alerts and real numbers from the cameras they already own, without new servers, an AI team, or sending their video to anyone else's cloud."
"For government, defence and enterprise sites, the first question is always where the video goes," Hilmy added. "With ARSA AI Box the answer is simple: it stays on site."
