Pavion, a leading global provider of integrated security, fire, life safety, and critical communication solutions, today announced the appointment of Andy Bierer as Chief Executive Officer, effective September 14. This leadership succession, orchestrated by Joe Oliveri and supported by the Board, culminates with today's announcement that Oliveri will retire from Pavion following a transformational period of leadership. To support a seamless transition, he will continue to support the company as Advisor to the CEO and the Board.
Bierer brings extensive executive experience, operational expertise, and deep industry knowledge across the building technology and services sectors. Most recently, he served as President of Automated Logic, a Carrier company and leading provider of building automation and control solutions. Throughout his career, he has led large, complex field organizations across North America and Europe, driving both organic and inorganic growth, enhancing performance, and developing high-performing teams. In senior leadership roles at Carrier and Otis, he earned a reputation for scaling businesses, fostering strong cultures through employee engagement and development, and delivering world-class safety, operational excellence, and customer outcomes.
Oliveri led the creation of Pavion into a market-leading brand and drove the significant growth that followed. Under his leadership, Pavion scaled to more than 70 branches, completed and integrated 24 strategic acquisitions, broadened its service portfolio, and established the operating foundation to support continued organic and acquisitive growth. Equally important, he fostered an employee culture centered on delivering an exceptional customer experience, while celebrating the contributions, achievements and tenure of Pavion's talented team.
Today, Pavion has more than 2,500 employees worldwide and over $1 billion in annual revenue. Pavion's deep technical capabilities, longstanding customer relationships, expertise in mission-critical industries, and experienced management team position the company well for its next phase of growth. Its priorities include enhancing the customer experience with service and platform innovation, expanding within core markets, investing in its workforce and operations, and pursuing selective acquisitions that support its longterm strategy.
"Leading Pavion has been one of the greatest privileges of my career," said Oliveri. "I am incredibly proud of everything our employees have achieved together. Andy is an outstanding executive whose industry perspective, global experience, proven judgment, and commitment to people make him the right person to guide Pavion through its next stage of growth. I have tremendous confidence in him and look forward to serving as a resource to Andy and the Board as Pavion builds on its position as an industry leader."
"I am honored to join Pavion and build on what Joe and the team have accomplished," said Bierer. "I was immediately struck by the caliber of the people here, the strength of the customer-first culture, and the trust the company has earned. Together, we will enhance the experience we deliver, strengthen our ability to connect and protect what matters most, and cement our reputation as a destination workplace for top talent and the integration partner of choice for the customers and communities we serve."
