ZBeta, a pioneer in delivering comprehensive physical security consulting services, today announced Brian Coulombe has joined the company as Executive Vice President of Client Programs, bringing more than two decades of experience leading complex physical security programs, technology initiatives and global teams.
In his new role, Brian will help lead and advance ZBeta’s client programs, drawing on his experience building and managing security operations at global scale. He will work closely with clients and ZBeta teams to strengthen program strategy and delivery, translate complex security requirements into actionable initiatives, and help organizations build security programs that can evolve alongside their businesses.
Brian joins ZBeta from Amazon, where he served as Senior Manager of Security Technology and led a global organization of more than 250 professionals across nine countries. His team was responsible for the design, construction, service, maintenance, and monitoring of physical security systems supporting more than 500 corporate locations across more than 50 countries.
During his tenure at Amazon, Brian oversaw major security technology and infrastructure initiatives worldwide. His work included the deployment of more than 30,000 AI-enabled video surveillance cameras, modernization of access control technology supporting more than 300,000 cardholders, and development of a global service and maintenance program spanning multiple technology and service providers. He also managed a security technology budget exceeding $60 million.
“Brian has spent his career working at the intersection of security strategy, technology and operations, and he understands firsthand the challenges security leaders face when managing complex environments at scale,” said Jesse “JJ” Knutson, Principal and Chief Operating Officer, ZBeta. “That perspective is incredibly valuable to ZBeta and, more importantly, to our clients. As Executive Vice President of Client Programs, he will help us continue to strengthen how we partner with clients, translate strategy into action, and build security programs that deliver long-term value.”
Prior to Amazon, Brian spent 15 years with Ross & Baruzzini, where he served as Principal and Director of Operations. As a security consultant and design leader, he worked on more than 35 major construction and renovation projects, including high-profile environments such as the World Trade Center, New York Stock Exchange and the Obama Presidential Library.
His experience across both the end-user and consulting sides of the security industry gives him a broad perspective on the entire lifecycle of a security program — from strategy and design through implementation, operations, maintenance and long-term optimization.
“ZBeta has built its reputation by helping organizations think differently about security and make smarter, more informed decisions,” said Brian. “I’ve spent much of my career solving many of the same challenges our clients face every day — managing complexity, evaluating technology, building scalable programs and ensuring security investments support the broader organization. I’m excited to join ZBeta and bring that experience to our client programs as we help organizations strengthen and evolve their approach to security.”
Brian holds an MBA from Yale University and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Lehigh University. He holds industry certifications from Lenel, Milestone, and Cisco. He is also active with ASIS International, and the Security Industry Association, where he has served as a mentor to young professionals.
