The security industry has come a long way over the past 29 years, with us at asmag being a small part of it. To say thank you to our readers, our editor descended into the vault to search for and scan our very first issue—from January 8, 1997.

The security industry has come a long way over the past 29 years, with us at asmag being a small part of it. To say thank you to our readers, our editor descended into the vault to search for and scan our very first issue—from January 8, 1997—but unfortunately he found nothing, probably because asmag, then a bimonthly print magazine, was not yet edited out of Messe Frankfurt’s Taiwan office.
 
Asmag#1 is lost to time. Digital information on our servers, however, date back to our third-ever issue, from May/June 1997.
