Amthal improves security management at St Margaret’s school

Amthal is the security partner of choice for the prestigious St Margaret’s School, to provide peace of mind to all staff, pupils and visitors without compromising on the 19th century architecture of the Grade II listed building.
St Margaret’s was founded in 1749 and owned by the Clergy Orphan Corporation until 1996 when it became a fully independent school for girls, aged 4 – 18. Today, the school is the UK’s longest running girl’s boarding school and one of the oldest independent girls’ schools in the UK and the oldest in Hertfordshire.
Working closely with Amthal Fire & Security, an integrated access control solution alongside bespoke class change systems have all been carefully installed to work around learning timetables and remain sensitive to the historical design of the buildings.

In addition for St Margaret’s, the historical significance of the school as a prominent educational establishment is essential to protect and it is our responsibility to make sure it is cared for at every level.
