ST Electronics highlights integrated management solution for army camp

ST Electronics, a Singaporean company specializing in providing security solutions in the Asia-Pacific region, highlighted an installation they did for the country's army camp.

The integrated security management system covered access control involving identity verification with the use of encrypted smart cards and biometrics such as iris and fingerprint recognition. Further security was provided to the premises through thorough inspection of the cars using undercarriage inspection systems and equipment that can screen the interior of the vehicles. Additionally, road blocks provide an additional line of defense and security personnel can identify and confirm people's identities through the use of mobile access units.

The AgilFence Perimeter Intrusion Detection Systems (PIDS) installed provided perimeter security with the addition of sensors along the fences to detect any intrusion attempt or disturbances. Video surveillance camera feeds are transmitted to a command center which communicates to ground patrol.
