Intransa, the VideoAppliance company, added three sales executives to its sales organization and enhancements to its supply chain infrastructure. Intransa anticipates significant customer growth in 2010 due to increased demand for secure, cost-effective and energy efficient video surveillance solutions. Intransa's new sales executives will lead the southeast, western and north central regions, which have been created to meet the growing demand. In addition, Intransa has established a substantial credit line for supply chain operations.

The June 2009 introduction of Intransa VideoAppliance led to record sales for the company. A sharp increase in sales followed ASIS International 2009. Prior to the conference, increased demand for the easy to install, affordable and reliable appliances was experienced in retail, public safety, municipal surveillance, transportation and other major markets.

“I'm extremely pleased to announce these key additions to the Intransa sales organization,” said Jonathan Perkins, VP, Worldwide Sales. “Customer demand has been accelerating for Intransa VideoAppliance and shows no signs of slowing down in 2010. The expanded coverage will ensure continued customer satisfaction through our growing mix of authorized distributors, certified security integrators and dealers throughout the United States.”

  • Ken Darby will lead the newly created southeast U.S. region as regional sales manager. Darby is a proven security sales leader with a career spanning the security and IT industry, including successful assignments at IQinVision, Petards, The Computer Merchant, Orion Telecommunications and Digicast. He joins the company from startup Pivot3.

  • The western U.S. region will be led by Mark Baxter in a key sales leadership role. Joining Intransa from Bosch Security Systems, Baxter brings strong security sales experience earned at Electronic Technologies Corporation, Honeywell and PCSC.

  • Proven security sales expert Stephen Jones will lead the north central U.S. region and joins Intransa from Mitsubishi Digital Electronics, following a successful career with GE Security and Vector Security.

Intransa supports an extensive network of certified security integrators and dealers through leading manufacturer's representative firms. The latest member of Intransa's network, International W, provides coverage throughout Latin America and the Caribbean. Existing representatives include GP Marketing, Intelligent Marketing, SVC Marketing and Warren Associates across the U.S. and Source AV in Canada.

Due to the increased demand for Intransa VideoAppliance, supply chain capability has been augmented. The Intransa Board of Directors self-funded a new multimillion dollar Accounts Receivable line of credit enabling both supply chain enhancements and increased inventory to speed customer deliveries.
