Ipsotek, an Eviden business, and a global leader in AI powered video analytics solutions, has announced its award of three distinct contracts to deploy cutting-edge technology at Cluj, Sibiu, and Satu Mare airports in Romania.

Ipsotek was awarded the projects through its partner UTI Construction and Facility Management (UTI CFM), a top system integrator with vast expertise in civil and critical infrastructure solutions, to deliver state-of-the-art video analytics systems for enhanced safety, security, and operational efficiency. UTI CFM and Ipsotek have been in partnership across a number of projects before, including collaboration at Bucharest Henri Coanda (Otopeni) Airport in 2020.

“These new projects represent significant benchmarks being set for security, safety and operational excellence within airports across Romania,” said Stephen Papaloizou, Ipsotek Account Manager for UK & Europe. “Collaborating with UTI CFM has been instrumental in expanding our market presence in Romania. The company’s strong expertise and integration capabilities, coupled with Ipsotek’s state-of-the art Video Analytics software has allowed for seamless introduction of advanced security solutions in the region.”

The planned deployments of Ipsotek's AI video analytics solutions at Cluj, Sibiu, and Satu Mare airports are set to revolutionize security and operational processes. Key applications will include detecting abandoned luggage, unauthorized vehicle entry in restricted zones, abandoned vehicle identification, and other video analytics solutions tailored to each airport’s needs using Ipsotek’s patented Scenario Based Rule Engine. By providing actionable insights and streamlining incident response, Ipsotek's solutions will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and well-being of travellers and airport staff.

UTI CFM, a prominent player in the construction and facility management industry since 1994, has firmly established itself as a provider of specialized solutions for civil and critical infrastructure objectives. The company is a key player in the installation and integration of airport systems in Romania, elevating airport operational efficiency to new heights.

“Our strong and fruitful partnership with Ipsotek has generated cutting-edge security solutions that Romanian airports needed so much. Ipsotek’s state-of-the art Video Analytics software is a next-gen solution that brings real benefits to security operators by employing AI to increase situational awareness and augment detection capabilities of events that may be missed even by the eyes of a seasoned security control room operator,” stated Tudor Radulescu, Technical Director at UTI CFM.

“UTI CFM and Ipsotek are capable of developing systems that are tailored to the client needs and to the security risks any enterprise is facing”, added Tudor Radulescu, Technical Director at UTI CFM.

Ipsotek and UTI CFM are committed to working closely with the respective airport authorities to ensure seamless integration, customization, and support throughout the deployment process expected later this year. Each airport contract stands as a testament to Ipsotek's proven track record with over 140 airport deployments worldwide.
