Video surveillance cameras today come in a variety of shapes and sizes to serve several purposes and to meet specification requirements for a variety of applications. Perhaps one of the most useful video surveillance cameras is the high resolution PTZ. In fact, PTZ cameras have always held a substantial role in advanced surveillance systems as they deliver unique capabilities that complement other camera form factors, such as panoramic multi-sensor cameras. Now with high resolution capabilities, the PTZ camera is the perfect surveillance solution for tracking people and moving objects.

Pelco Esprit Enhanced PTZ cameras are full HD 1080p positioning camera systems capable of capturing fine details on individuals’ faces, license plate numbers, or identifying characteristics such as tattoos, jewelry or other specific nuances that can assist in securing positive identification. Esprit Enhanced PTZ cameras are ideal for overt coverage situations, such as correction facilities, ports, oil and gas facilities, or traffic monitoring.

The new Esprit Enhanced PTZ camera combines the very best in enclosure design, PTZ mechanics and receiver technologies to produce the industry’s leading HD, high-speed camera system. It features full HD 1080p, a 30x optical zoom camera and a very responsive, full pan/tilt range of +40° to -90° from horizontal. The camera is an industry-leading integrated package that offers responsive, high-definition, high-speed positioning capabilities, outstanding weather protection, and ease-of-installation. In addition to full HD 1080p and 30x optical zoom, Esprit Enhanced PTZ now features SureVision 3.0 with 130dB of True Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) and improved low light performance. Image defog and Vivid Imaging Mode, along with five additional white balance modes, are also new.

In addition to full HD 1080p and 30x optical zoom, Esprit Enhanced PTZ now features SureVision 3.0 with 130dB of True Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) and improved low light performance.

Additional features that make the Esprit Enhanced PTZ ideal for city surveillance and other similar applications include window blanking to conceal user-defined privacy areas that cannot be viewed by an operator and advanced electronic image stabilization. Nine analytic behaviors are built in for enhanced functionality, including stopped vehicle detection, object removal, abandoned object, loitering detection, object counting, adaptive motion, simple motion detection, camera sabotage and directional motion. Open architecture connectivity allows integration into almost any third-party software and/or IP-based HD recording system.

Tracking a person of interest through a casino or a public street is made easier and more reliable with the Esprit Enhanced variable pan and tilt speeds that range from 0.1 to 40 degrees per second in manual pan mode, and 0.1 to 30 degrees per second in manual tilt. Pan preset and turbo speeds are 100 degrees per second while the tilt preset speed is 30 degrees per second.

With Pelco’s time tested pan/tilt performance and full HD recording quality, Esprit Enhanced PTZ HD Cameras systems provide the ideal surveillance tracking solution for virtually any indoor or outdoor applications where conventional cameras and PTZs simply won’t do.
