Intersil Techwell Releases Four-Channel 960H Video Decoder

Intersil Corporation introduces the TW2960 4-channel 960H video decoder. The TW2960 is an enhanced next generation 4-channel video decoder that supports the new 960H technology. This patent pending technology allows analog video definition up to 960 lines, a significant upgrade from the traditional video definition of 760 lines. With this new "analog HD" solution, next-generation DVR platforms can create higher resolution video without changing the existing analog CCTV infrastructure.

Intersil also announces that Hikvision, one of the leading developers of surveillance DVR solutions, has designed the TW2960 into its next generation DVR platforms. Hikvision expects to strengthen its leadership position in the surveillance market with this new technology advancement.
